I don't know if it's a bite or not, but all of the horses have had them before. Another viewer thinks they are sweet itch related but I genuinely don't know 🤷

You need to get the clippers that they use on sheep because they are wider then the clippers that they use on horses and you can use sheep clippers on horses to and they are better clippers

It's a cob thing, I hate clipping, I use the same clippers as yours they always end up dying even after full charge. I had to smile your hands are pink like mine, gotta love purple spray😂

Purple hands club 😆 In fairness they do usually manage a full clip if I get a move on. I think Woody zapped most of the juice with his long and slow haircut the day before

When they are super itchy and have irritated skin they can be really sensitive to any heat from the Clippers blades, even after just a few passes. Hopefully he's feeling less itchy now :)

They did get a bit warm but I don't think they bothered him. He's very expressive and always tells us when he is unhappy about something

Try tricil it is a anti fungal shampoo and it will help blue with his itching problem

We have a diy anti itch shampoo which works great on him. We have to be very careful what we put on his skin, often harsh chemicals can make things worse

a couple horses that i know have to be clipped year round due to there sweet itch the scabs/spots are deffiently sweet itch related have you thought about getting blue tested for cushings ? dense thick/curly coat can be a sign for cushings

I don't think he has cushings, his coat is dense but only looks like that because he has been rubbing. It's never been suggested by a vet before though so I think it's unlikely. I hope anyway 🤞
