Seeing your #8 Silver Black Velvet and my #8 has definitely made me realize ( I think I already knew) that my current #8 needs to be replaced with a new one. I always keep one in stock for the day I finally give up my current one! These are by far my favorite brushes. It fits my hand well; I like the weight; and it helps me paint a teeny bit better. Thanks for a great video.

I personally think that a brush makes a difference. I do change Black Velvet too from time to time since I use it so much 😂

I suspect that each brush will be somewhat unique. The quality of squirrel hair varies a bit each season depending on the conditions the squirrel is experiencing and each brush needs to be carefully created. Some batches will be made better than others….. Silver brushes feature frequently in YT videos so the demand must be high and again that puts more pressure on the manufacturer to meet demand.

If someone purchases a size 4 would u say that purchasing a size 2 is still worth it or necessary given the size differences? Thank you!

Voyage brushes are great,... But the only drawback is they dont have size 10 and 12 in the travel series... Escoda versatil travel brush series beats them in sizing.. can you please do a video on escoda versatil travel brush series i.e set of 6 (size 2,4,6,8,10,12)?

I really wanted to like the Silver Brush Black velvet, but I have 5 of their brushes from size 0 to size 12 & every one looks like it got a bad haircut, they don’t keep their shape and Customer Service is literally non existent! Never again!

@@JolyPoa Thank you, but I reached out to them for over 6 months with no response. I even posted a request on their KZbin channel but still nothing! It’s been over a year so I’ve given up & mostly use their brushes for mixing my paints. Not meant to be, which means something better is in store! ❤️

I bought Silver Black Velvet when I was a newbie and I hated them. Too soft. No snap. Now that I have more experience I might have to retry them.

Silver Brush have ZERO customer service. They don't even respond. I recommend that you don't buy their products because they don't honor customer satisfaction or even bother to respon to inquiries regarding defects.
