The ape labs do it for me because of the size, simplicity and efficacy…the only drawback is the limited types of lights they offer…I hope they expand soon

DJVetz510 you’re welcome. The ape labs stuff is good. Actually looking into getting a few Maxi ‘s soon...ape coins are the ultimate gate drugs for lights haha

@@lavishlifedjs you definitely get what you pay for. Longer battery life and those lights will probably last an easy 8+ years. But that's some serious 💰💵 . 24 maxis @ $10k vs 24 rockville @ under $3k

DJVetz510 yeah the money thing is a big sticking point. I’ll probably buy 1 or 2 of them over time...For now I like using the Rockvilles with soundswitch but I don’t like the idea of being webbed into another subscription...so many things are subscription these days...other than that the Rockville’s are good. The one bad thing is the support. I had to have one light fixed and it was a disappointing 3 months of waiting with no communication. They eventually fixed it and sent it back back but beware...

Thank You for this video, it answered my question. I orederwd a 1 pack of the coins last night, with the power banks you suggested. Now it looks like the wedges are better for uplighting and the coins are better effect lights. Thanks again, you've been a big help, keep putting out these informative videos. ✌

The best pack 50 are smaller and slightly brighter. I would def do those.

@@lavishlifedjs the rockwedges have 3 18w led's = 54 the best par 50 have 4 6w led's = 24 so technically, the rockwedges are WAY brighter but they almost look the same on your video

You might get a better comparison on brightness throughout the light throw if you incorporated the 10 degree lens from ape labs. Just sayin. Great review.

They sure are. Probably one of the better lights if you get the wireless dmx versions…you hook up the Rockville wireless transmitter to soundswitch then all your lights are controllable

I use them all the time. In fact they fit perfectly under the totems. Best lights for the money. Bright and compact.

Can you control these with adj airstream bridge

I believe so. To go totally wireless you would have to buy a wireless transmitter and receiver if the lights don't already come with it built in. For the rockville joints, all you need is the wireless dmx transmitter because the best par 50, 60 and rock wedges all have wireless dmx receivers built in. Same goes for the ape labs, you would need the W Ape wireless transmitter because the wireless dmx transmitter is built in to ape labs lights. The Chinese uprights need both the wireless transmitter and receiver, some people are happy with the donner wireless transmitter and receiver...hope this helps

The generic par's are TRASH... They're terrible 🤣 it was my first leap into the light game. I've since sold them and upgraded to adj hex pars. The coins look good; so do the rockvilles. I like the idea of not needing wires but I would hate having to charge everything. Thanks for the videos

Yeah I still have the generics from awhile back. Don’t use em anymore. I prob should sell them too...the charging thing is a pain but that is why I like the coins, the power banks are so easy to charge all at once.

DJVetz510 for the Rockville joints ? Real world I’ve done 2 events 4 hrs each without charging...I think you can definitely get about 7-8hrs...For the charging yes you have to keep the lid open and only charge 6 at a time.
