Even though I have home baked chocolate chip cookies and raisin scones at home I’m going to determinedly complete the stroll. ;). It’s a nice, alternate universe escape.

We only had 1 day plus a few hours during the Festival of Holidays so my daughter and I only could do so much this year. We loved the Chocolate Spice and the Linzer is always good. We however disagree we like the Connections Sugar Cookie. It isn’t the greatest cookie but it has a unique flavor we like. We know in the past we didn’t like the Snickerdoodle nor the Gungerbread and agree the Sunshine season cookie is no good of a cookie. We didn’t do the black and white as we ran out of time which we have been hot and cold on in the past.

They should dip the whole bottom of that peppermint cookie into dark chocolate and then do crushed candy canes so it’d resemble peppermint bark.

Annually, at this, this festive time of year, I make the Gingerbread Mickey recipe from one of the older Disney cookbooks. (From Monorail Café at Disneyland.) With variations (i.e. I add some nutmeg and allspice, and my preferred molasses is Blackstrap). Not sure how it compares to what is currently at Epcot, but we love it here in Kansas City (Missouri, the Real Kansas City). Really good dipped in coffee.

A citrus/chocolate combo is very old world, European touch. Can be really nice. I’m still thinking about Godiva’s lemon/dark chocolate bar from long ago. Wow.

Every time I see a black and white cookie it reminds me of my mom. She always got one in our favorite bakery in L.A. we also got a lot of other stuff too. I’m going to have to go to EPCOT at Christmas time, but early. When I did go a few years ago they weren’t doing cookie stroll. That snickerdoodle cookie looked nothing like one. I’d try that because it wasn’t so plain looking. Great review.

Thanks for this wonderful in depth review of the cookies stroll this year, Deni. I was just there two weeks ago so I just missed this festival. I should have delayed my trip by a few weeks. 😉 Oh well, next year I’ll be a permanent Orlando resident so I’ll be experiencing it as much as I want! Can’t wait to move back! I miss living in Orlando. I was hoping to run into you during my trip but I figured it wouldn’t happen since it was practically pouring in the parks daily and you wouldn’t be out in it if you didn’t need to. 😂 One positive about rainy park days, most rides were walk-ons. Even Flight of Passage & Rise of the Resistance, which never is the case!

I looked up the old video (on another channel) of you making the crinkle cookies. You said they didn't turn out quite as good as you had hoped and that you might tweak it. Did you ever get a chance to do that? It's on my list for next weekend's cookie bake and I didn't know which recipe to use. There were several on Pinterest, but they were all so similar. Such a great review! The peppermint pinwheel looks cheery so I’m disappointed that it didn’t taste great. The snickerdoodle looks really good but isn’t a snickerdoodle a regular cookie with dusted cinnamon? Is this one more like actual Snickers bar in a cookie form? I’m coming 12/1-12/3! Can’t wait to try them! Would love to say hi if you’re in the parks or resorts!
