The new chairs are very nice. I think if you simplify or slimline your table scape it would look very nice.. if the centerpiece is smaller /lower, I believe the new chairs and table setting would appear more updated

Chairs-A, but then I'm not a fan of contemporary. As for the plates I like both, the black plates make the wood bowls pop. Have you ever tried a big green plate with a small black plate on top? In the end, it's whatever you like best.

Hey Joan! I like the design of the chairs, but I see why you are unsure if they work or not. Even though I like the style of the new chairs, I think I like the taller ones best. If you want to change up the look, try chair covers, you know I do that all the time in my space.☺️ Both place settings are nice, but I like the black ones the best.😉🥰

I love chair B but I think they sell risers so they can be a little taller. Also love plate B , but Joan however you want to do it is your choice. Enjoy your trip I just got a new great grand daughter in June I am truly enjoying her

Old chairs with black plates or 2nd best new chairs with a black plate on the bottom, then smaller green plate on top. The new chairs seemed too small-but they also have the black legs, mixing up the plates a bit would make them fit right in. Otherwises it's too green. But that's jmho 😉. Your designing skills are terrific 👏, no matter what you decide 😊.

However, just a suggestion here, he centerpiece you have in the middle of your table is overpowering it all. Is there something oriental and shorter to put in the center of your table? Hey Joan, I ❤️ the chairs, and understand ur deal w/height (I like sitting high @ 5”2) I would purchase a nice wide gold tape to go around the perimeter of the table in the middle to highlight the legs on the chairs. See if u like it, change if not. As far as the setting, have u thought of mixing them? I would definitely play with the idea. I’m nursing a post knee surgery and enjoying u. Be Blessed🌸

Hi Joan: I’m new to your channel and love your work on your home. Absolutely love every room. You have great taste. You opened up a whole new world to me with all the thrift videos. Now I love thrifting! And your so creative. My opinion about the chairs is that they are too contemporary/modern and your style - especially the table seems traditional/classic. The table seems to over power the chairs. I like the green plates because I love jadeite just like you do.

The chairs are a bit light in color. You can paint them. It'd be easier to get an idea of height if you sat in one at the table. The new chairs are better than the old, which to me seemed heavy and bulky.

I like both options. I think the table is too heavy with the new chairs, the room would be better balanced with a table that didnt take up so much visual space ...the center leg/ post of the table is heavy for the room ...just my opinion. Love all of your videos!

Hey Jean! They are very comfortable! The difference in height is only the back of the chairs. The seat height is about the same. They are more comfortable than the old ones.

The height don't seem right to me. I like the other ones ..I don't think the chairs should almost equal the height of the table.. that seems to be a small spot and the height of your other chairs pulled the area together so much better...
