I was in Bologna in 1977 and really enjoyed it. Climbed the ASINELLI TOXER what an exercise. Was 19 yo with soccer player size thighs and it was all I could do to accomplish the feat. The food and architecture was amazing Thanks for the video. The canal feature was awesome. Always enjoy your videos and your quest for the best food. Always makes my hungry. The Dolce Vita!!!!

Have visited Bologna and it is wonderful. Some of the best food in Italy. Like you my friend and I,on a Sunday, went to have lunch the place recommended was closed so we walked a little while and found this trattoria they had a table for two only had about 15 tables. The only person who spoked english was another customer so he took our orders and explain the dishes, menu only in Italian, also which dishes where traditional one of the best meals I have ever had.

A group of friends were on a weekend in Northern italy based in Brescia and while waiting for the flight back to the UK we went to Verona which was so tourist but we found a restaurant on the top of the car park where we had parked outside the city centre and I remember the food being delicious. So going off the beaten track is often a great idea. On that trip an Italian friend recommended an "agritourismo" and that was great food as well and at that time surprising cheap. I have no idea if this is still a thing in Italy?

I would definitely visit Bologna! The hidden canal was cool. Agree about the graffiti. I'd be curious which Italian city you've been to had the least graffiti.
