Grotesque figures and body horror have always been a something lisa creators have improved on and refined, but Twisty is next level. The way the skin stretches and emphasizes the bone structure, and the unatural zigzag formation of the cranium and jaw is uncomfortable. Well it has been 8 years of improvement. XD

This is still being worked on? Honestly it kind of fills me with dread knowing that this is just a remake of part 1. There's still part 2 and 3. Even if part 1 comes out, when the hell are those coming out?

The main reason it's taking this long to come out is because they're redesigning the entire game with this new art style, after they're done with the MU and act one, the other chapters should get done faster. If they still decide to continue with the project that is.

This is one of the only things I am currently excited for. This is everything a fan of the original game could ask for in a remake/redux. This is my favorite game OAT and Im glad that the creators have spent the 8 years seemingly actually working on it. The way the mountains in the background of the Twisty experience fade into pure black is a perfect match for the feelings evoked by the original. As for the desert scene, it seems to be more matched to Slowdive, the game that inspired Edvina to add the endless waste scene in the first place, which also shows hes actively involved in the project, which is what you would want giving this is his brainchild.

Also a fan of the literature references. Seeing them in the original autumn house and quoted by Franchisers really adds to the feeling of the game. The tiny piece of the fan game Meat Funeral that did come out featured MU assets and heavy Christian symbolism, making me wonder if it was inspired by that.

We need to consider that MU is taking a long time to come out, not just because of the massive overhaul its receiving, but because its being worked on *very* slowly. Let us lower our expectations, try to forget about pointless, and be patient.

My guess was 2027, but even back in 2019 people were guessing "current date + 2 years" so who really knows. From what we know even after the game is finished they are gonna test the shit out of it so I'll take a while. (Also Ed said downtown is currently in development, so optimistically everything before it is finished)
