I actually always had a sprite character who was very bug like. Actually, an amalgamation of insects: hercules beetle horns, grasshopper legs, four arms (he didnt look to unlike a fantastical Bugs Life character in my brain). He wasn't very good at magic, but the one spell he used very well was a growth spell that suddenly made this small tricky buggy sprite into a giant beetle-like brawler with extreme strength. Memory unlocked 😂

Your half insect half mushroom thing is nice. I for a while now had fairies be half energy type beings. Most fictional ferries glow and the one in folk lore have them be like ghosts so four limds and wings just be glowing energy seems right.

Gosh the Peter Pan book is on of my favourite books of all time :,3 I loved the description of faries not being able to hold more than one emotion because they're just too small. This is such a beautiful piece! What are your thoughts on the idea of Peter Pan simply being the god-like being Pan?
