Headphones recommended. I tried to boost the engine brake sound as much as I could in the edit.

It sounded so good, but you should make a video where you show what you do for the entire day

There’s not a better sound on earth then a Cummins 6.7 exhaust brake, with an Allison transmission with pre selected downshifts.

Add the programed fan clutch to the engine brake then it's golden. Due to my bias a noisy AT-545 is the best sound in the world.

@@theericfreeze1493 our buses are like that as well, the fan really hopes slow the bus down a lot quicker, especially for our hilly terrain in Pittsburgh, I absolutely love that sound.

Now, I have a dumb question here. Do all buses like Thomas, International, and Blue Bird all have engine breaks, and do they all make the same noise? But overall I enjoyed the video. I like you to do a video on the CDL practice test to see what they're looking for
@Pa_school_bus_enthusiastАй бұрын
Exhaust brakes are not brand or model specific, any diesel engine can be equipped with one, it’s an option that you have to pay for.
@saturnworld1840Ай бұрын
Not all buses have engine brake, it’s optional when a company orders buses, and not all engine brakes are the same. Thomas buses have the best engine brake, international buses have the worst. Blue bird have familiar form of engine brake as Thomas, but Thomas has different strengths of engine brake which you can also option.
@Pa_school_bus_enthusiastАй бұрын
@@saturnworld1840 the exhaust brakes on all Cummins 6.7 are the same strength , the reason the exhaust brakes on the internationals aren’t as strong is because the internationals have their pre selected downshifts set to 3rd gear by default, while the Thomas and blue bird buses have theirs set to 2nd gear,, if you want the exhaust brake to be stronger on the internationals, you’re supposed to manually put it into 2nd gear or you can program it to 2nd gear through the transmission software

Did you know for C2 you are supposed to keep the engine brake on because if it is not on it can mess up the bus I ride a 2023 C2 and we keep it on all of the time. And 1 of the buses don't keep it on and the bus sounds so bad just a FYI
@saturnworld1840Ай бұрын
Not all C2 buses have engine brake, though engine brake does help clean out or prevent carbon buildup in the turbo, it will not mess up the bus if it’s not on. C2 buses can be optioned with different engines so it sounds different
@LMDProductionsOfficialАй бұрын
@@Austin-yp3eo it won’t hurt it to keep it off or on, makes no difference. I only use it on downhills or when heavily loaded (with the exception of this video)

@@Austin-yp3eo really only thing it does is keep the vgt turbo spoiling and keep your brake maintenance down and keep them from getting hot.
