Why the bomb exploded around 16:00 : There was a higher-priority clause that states "If there is more than 1 battery on the bomb and the button says "Detonate", press and immediately release the button." There were indeed a pair of AA batteries; you can see when he looks around for the lit CAR indicator. Why the bomb exploded around 27:00 : When describing the white light's position Yahtzee heard "2nd from the left"; Gabriel said "2nd from the right". This happened a second time, except he confused "3rd from the left" and "3rd from the right". Why the bomb exploded around 29:45 : You skipped step 2. Twice. Which is weird, because you did it correctly once... Why the bomb exploded around 33:30 : The obvious answer: Time ran out. The not-so-obvious answer: The maze they got required 24 steps. Why the bomb exploded around 36:30 : Memory is *evil*. Why the bomb exploded around 45:00 : Morse Code is *even more evil*. Why the bomb exploded around 53:30 : Wire sequences aren't evil if you know what you're doing. Gabriel, however...

@RFC35149 жыл бұрын
+JAWZxz - I've had an Alaskan Malamute that was literally big enough for a 12 year old to _ride_. He hardly barked at all (just made a very low "woowoo" sound). Smaller dogs definitely tend to bark _more_ (and have a higher-pitched bark, that can seem louder even when it's not, just like a baby crying can sound louder than an engine, despite outputting less decibels). Dog breeds have been shaped over centuries, and a small dog that couldn't even _alert_ people to danger was less useful. Bigger dogs were expected to deal with problems themselves, so they didn't need to be very good at calling in reinforcements. They certainly have the lung _potential_ to bark louder, but most don't.

I feel like this is to make up for all the drowning out they're doing in Dark Souls 2. They probably don't have much to drown out about while that series is going on. I honestly don't mind them just playing a game for my amusement, especially one like this that emphasizes communication and teamwork. I wouldn't mind if Yahtzee and Gabe did a whole cooperative Let's Play series with them actually talking about what they're playing. Maybe Yahtzee could record him and Gabe playing the multiplayer games he reviews for Zero Punctuation. They really do have a good rapport.

In Memory, the defuser absolutely _has to_ tell the expert what position and label they pressed. And, frankly, remembering all that is the expert's job. The defuser has enough to worry about and does not have the benefit of being able to use pen and paper. Well, I suppose they _could_, but I imagine it would be massively against the spirit of the game. Not to mention that telling the defuser to "press the button with the same label you pressed in stage 1" takes way longer than just saying "press 3" and then the defuser relays the 3's position.

The game would be much better if it wasn't module-based and had less gamey modules. Imagine Space Engineers: You build a ship that's rigged to explode upon flying, with a really complex mechanism. Defusing that is fun, because you really would have to explain to the person with the manual where everything leads and goes - it'd take an hour, and you'd have to go without a time limit (or a long one, or one that isn't enabled at start, or one that can be disabled independently of the bomb being defused)... Win condition would be to get the ship into a hangar without explosion, without knowing at first what will trigger an explosion. Accidentally removing core elements of the ship would also be a fail state. ... I'm going to make that now.
