@@discoRyne it is for a lot of older people. yknow how older people often seem to say "ugh, your generation only listens to pop drivel, not REAL music like my generation did. it's all the same song over and over again". yeah well the reason they say that is because of the fact that they only listen to the radio, and only hear the biggest hits where... yeah tbf there's a lot of homogeneity. ysee for the boomers, the main way to find music was the radio and things like top song lists. then for Gen X, those ways stuck around, but you also had recommendations from your friends or music shops when you wanted to see more alternative stuff. for millenials, most had the internet and could access alternative stuff that way and for us, we have just about every way under the sun. youtube, social media, soundtracks, recommendation, etc. problem is, things like youtube and other social medias are inaccessible to almost all boomers and most of Gen X. also, Gen X's avenue of "friend recommendations" has dried up since most of the recommendations have been recommended long ago. this leaves the only avenue they still know how to access to be, in most cases, radio. and the radio only plays the same 12 songs by white dudes and white chicks over and over again. THATS why they insist that our generation's music all sounds the same, and why they say it isn't diverse. that's all they really have the ability to hear. is that our fault? hell no. is it theirs? not really. like the original replier implied, it's the radio station's fault. they need to diversify their own songs in order to get rid of that bs stigma from the elder generations. thank you for coming to my Ted X talk, idk.

Let’s eat grandma 👵 has been hands down- my last 2 years best musical discovery- they have an ethereal synth motif, heartfelt lyrical / arrangements and themes, no shortage of 90’s nostalgia which never gets old…Ever To me they are a perfect hybridisation of, YELLE, Robyn, Florence ATM, tegan and sara, and chicks on speed… PS - in no way am i saying they are derivative- the exact opposite but they tap into my made in the 80’s , grew up in the 90’s, and lived as an adult since the mid aughts type of vibe that was and always will be my go to HAPPY PLACE / musical 🏡 …love them to bits please come to Australia 🇦🇺 your vibe and grossly underrated/underexposed brilliance won’t last much longer you two are too special and AMAZING for this not to come to fruition. Actually a pretty good song. Wasnt expecting the band who did the edge runner theme to actually make decent music. Still a bit main stream for me. But I get it. And its funny she talks about being a child. We skip through our early life, wanting to grow up. never realizing we are all children until about 30. WE are kids, raising kids. Emotionally, we arent ready for what it takes to be an adult, until our spirits are some what broken.
