His is NOT 2mil Scoville. It may not even be 100k..... Why? Because if you look at his plant, it is A) very small and B) has many un-ripe (green and yellow) peppers on it. I grow these pepper to use in hot sauce. You pull the peppers off ALL at the END once all of them are red and ripe. Peppers CONTINUOUSLY grow in their capsaicin content the LONGER they stay on the plant. if you have green peppers on your plant still, the red peppers are NO WHERE near their highest possible Scoville level. The way he did it, cut off a single pepper as soon it was red for the video, is a stunted little baby peppers that probably isn't even as hot as a ghost pepper. Frankly dangerous, because these guys now think they know how hot a reaper is and have shown off a "fake" reaper that people now think is far less dangerous than it can be. If these was a properly harvested pepper, you couldn't just eat a 3rd of it and handle it so easily, even if you're middle eastern.

I really hate to break it to you guys, because this was a really valiant effort on your part with the Carolina Reaper, but a pepper known as Pepper X actually beat out the Carolina Reaper as the world’s hottest pepper, making it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s hottest pepper in 2023. The Carolina Reaper clocks in at 1.64 million Scoville heat units. Pepper X clocks in at 2.69 million units on the Scoville scale. Still, this was an incredibly brave effort on your guys’ part! Especially when you consider that the hottest I can do are habañeros, you guys definitely have me beat, hands down, when it comes to trying peppers! Much respect! ❤️‍🔥🌶️

Secondly, calling the Reaper the world’s hottest pepper when it isn’t doesn’t change the fact that calling it that is inaccurate at best, and misleading and disingenuous at worst. It needs to be specified that it’s the hottest commercially available pepper, rather than mislead people by calling it the world’s hottest pepper, when it’s not.
