As a complete novice who’s just trying to get Let’s Encrypt working on a NAS, this was the exact video I needed. Thanks so much for making and uploading it!

Thank you for sharing this, I was able to setup Lets encrypt for nginx server. At least it has clear my concept how this entire process is working. Great video.

Hello! Quick question: would the free SSL certificate offered by Hostinger be enough safety for a small e-shop with WooCommerce, or should I buy some additional SSL (such as "Single Domain SSL")? If so, what would be the best place to get it? Thank you!

I found this very helpful. Can you please cover a video on renewing SSL certificate using Cert-manager?
@abc7channel2 жыл бұрын
Except that you use a tiny key first and if it's guessed or cracked with a few server decades of cpu time then let's encrypt automatically upgrades it by using the already cracked key to send the new keys. No maintenance and a growing list of already cracked certs that are maintained automatically!

Great video! One thing that is still not clear to me: can you please explain why, at the end, you mentioned nginx would need to be restarted after you've renewed your certificate? Isn't the whole point of the shared volume that the directory is up to date? Does nginx cache something?
@MarcelDempers3 жыл бұрын
Nginx has to load that certificate which it does at startup only. I don't believe it will reload it when its updated on the file system. It does cache things. You can reload the cert calling the nginx reload command to avoid a full restart

@@MarcelDempers while renew cert, just restart the nginx ? or all about application running ?

What markdown parser are you using? It looks just like github, but the directory listing in the side pane looks like vs code. Id almost given up on finding a good one. There are plenty of packages in the pkg mgr repos on my os, but no good ones. What is the extension name, if you don't mind. Thanks in advance. Btw great video. subbed.

Hi there, I just have question : Consider If I try to host multiple web application with different domain names( not talking about subdomains) on a server (VPS) using Nginx or Caddy as reverse proxy to redirect the request to respective web application to responed. I confuse , I mean do I have generate SSL certificate for each web application (Is is possible?) or just there will we one that all of the application will use. and one more question=>Are SSL certificate are tied to domain? I will be very helpful if could give some general idea about it. thank you.
