Fresh food? That's a false statement. The food offered and the meat stuff at the wet market is covered in flies and insects. The dealers wave long sticks with rags on the end to shoo them away. They only do this, when they see a customer coming. Now let's talk about the ground beef that has cartilage in it. They grind up everything into the mix. (The crunchiest burger patties you'll ever eat.) Most of the time the dealers are sitting while on their phone, not concerned with the flies on the food. And it's not only at the wet market. You go to Save More the grocery store here, same thing. Chicken and meat left out in the open air uncovered. They use their bare hands, no gloves. Cross contamination widespread. They put pork on the shopping block and then they'll take chicken and place it on the same chopping block. The chomping blocks are then left out all night long. (If anyone reading this has been to the wet market and ilocos sur you'd know the size of the cockroaches there.) If you want to know, how I know? I live 10 minutes from the wet market. In Candon city. I became so sick, I lost 20 lbs. We won't even talk about the bathrooms in McDonald's or the other restaurants. If you love the smell of urine you'll be right at home. And then I could go on and on and on about the people's mental capacity. Or lack thereof. Come to the Philippines for love, stay because you become deathly sick. On another note: They don't even want foreigners here. If you want to stay here permanently it's going to cost you between $25,000/50,000 USD. Placed in a bank account to help the economy. Meaning, money gone. This country is pure Hell!!

Thank you for visiting and sharing some of my hometown's scenery. It seems that it's high tide when you visited the Nalvo Beach. Next time try the next beach Suso Beach. It has more beach area. Also, I recommend you visit the beautiful Pinsal Falls on the eastern part of Sta. Maria. I really love watching your videos. It's the closest I can experience life in the Philippines from abroad. I wish you a very safe travel.
