Thanks for this video series. I have a 696 as well. I chose this model for the simpler motor ( 2 valve per cylinder vs 4 ) because I want to do all of my own maintenance. So far I have done the first valve clearance check and have bled the clutch. So far so good ( the bike still looks like a bike and it runs ). Thanks again for this series your clear instructions and tips help all of us mechanic wannabes.

Its a common fault on Ducati's lol, same slave cylinder is used across the range on various models. Nice when you find the fault and fix it yourself. Best when you test ride a Ducati hold the clutch lever in for 15 seconds while it's in gear and see if it starts creeping, thats a good sign your slave cylinder is on its way out.

Hey man, great channel! Congrats on fixing the issue! I would still recommend replacing the original slave cylinder - they are prone to breaking unexpectedly. Mine just started leaking and I lost my clutch, had to order a performance one and I am still waiting for it to arrive. Also, what phone mount do you use? I can't find anything that would fit the woodcraft handlebar?

I didn’t add a phone mount on mine. But you’re right the woodcraft is really had to add a mount to. I was thinking a ball joint ram mount might work, using one of those bolts
