that foot controller's engineer was somebody's nephew who was "good with his hands" and needed a job I've refurbed a couple of different types of pre-WW2 oddball controllers with the most byzantine assortment of screws, tabs, and other fastening schemes. add a little corrosion to that socket fitting and they are a bear to get apart don't worry about going long with any video!
