I like how Din's helmet looks bad too but no one really batted an eye, but then Boba Fett comes out and everyone is like freaking out 😆 this is a great fix tho thanks for the tips

Din’s helmet is supposed to be skinny at the jaw area so I think the figure is actually pretty screen accurate. Boba has a much wider helmet than Din so his skinny helmet looks awful

@@jackmanning1117 Yes but also the chin part of Din's helmet is supposed come down farther almost kinda to a point, the figure doesn't look like that it's very squared off and the forehead of the figured helmet is too bulbus, the helmet in the show is much more sleek and pointy at the chin, the figure just missed the mark. TVC Din is pretty dead on tho, check that figure out and double check the show and then look at the black series again and I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about homie

It isn't the fact the plastic is hot when it is fitted that is causing the problem, it is the packaging. The plastic that holds it is 'squishing' the helmets

Love the help! I saw some people dunk the helmet in hot water but it warps the movable part and the entire helmet! This looks safer! I'll give this a try when mine comes. Excited to stick him in the hasbro jumping/flying stand

I would prefer a non-removable helmet that doesn’t warp so easily. Straight out of the box, the helmet looks like a cheap Don Post helmet from the 90s. Honestly, the days of Hasbro putting Cloneheads under the helmets of OT characters should have ended years ago. It’s a ridiculous feature to bring back.

I bet there will be a version with a removable helmet and painted head in the not too distant future. I think Hasbro are doing this so that they don't have to produce new head and helmet moulds for exclusives like the 'Din Djarin and child' earlier in the year. Making them this way has to be harder than just making a solid moulded helmet, and so there must be a reason why they are using this method.

This figure is such a major fail. For such a popular character, and at the deluxe price, you'd think Hasbro would've been prudent to spend more time QC-ing this one. Boba's helmet is literally the defining feature of his look, yet they managed to screw that simple thing up. They would've been better off reusing the helmet sculpt of the ESB Fett and just repainting it with ROTJ colors. And speaking of colors, where the hell did the weathering go on the flight suit?

This is some good high drama. I don't get why they have a head sculpt under the helmet if they don't finish it and make the helmet removable. They make the 3.75" with a removable helmet, why not the Black Series. I do have this on pre-order. Thanks Mike, always appreciated.

I somehow hope Hasbro will still fix this for Deluxe Bobas they send out later. I have not gotten yet a message that mine is even on his way. If he also has the squished helmet, I might do the helmet removal...painting that teeny tiny head will be a new experience, that's for sure (I got myself a bunch of my favourite Star Wars figures (the old ones with soft goods) from Hasbro in 1/6 scale for Christmas and did a ton of repainting). Hasbro really could have gone the extra mile and at least ensure that the helmet does not just look like that.

Put head over spout of kettle as it's boiling in the steam. It will auto regain it's shape. Run under cold tap. Done.

This is really helpful. It's unfortunate the helmet is like that out of box. I've had so many Star Wars and Marvel Legends figures warped out of package. Hopefully Hasbro doesn't repeat the same mistake if they re-release this mold.

i get what you mean, but canonically Boba Fett looks like Jango Fett. He looks no more like.. say... Jeremy Bulloch than Din Djarin looks like Brandon Wayne (who physically plays him in a lot of scenes), or Darth Vader looks like either James Earl Jones or David Prowse.. Otherwise, you could also get a Boba Fett who could potentially look like the creepy uncle guy who was in the suit for the ROTJ reshoots when they shot more footage for the special edition. I would have rather had a full painted head with removable helmet, or just a solid mask with nothing but a socket for the ball joint underneath.

@@MikeKaess I like Morrison who plays Boba Fett. I just think it wrong how they cut off Jeremy Bullock. He had a back story already and George recast him for PC reasons back in 2001. Also Windgreen voice should be kept. I thought that was wrong. Morally and script wise, that being stated I want both. GL changed his vision when making the prequels and it actually hurt those movies. But as a collector and OG fan I want the original how it was intended for once.

I preordered this based on 1. the character 2. it's the, imo, more cool looking Boba Fett with the right EE-3 and 3. The renders looked very promising regarding sculpt etc. Reality: This is not worth the deluxe label. It's not even weathered at all, too clean. I'd much rather they spent some funding on that than flame effects and that grappling hook feature - is it a toy or a colllectible? It's a horrible accesory in this form. And including the cut EE-3... what is the purpose of the front barrel? And obvioysly the helmet ... I think it should still flare outwards a bit more than it does after the hot air/water fixes I've seen, although they do correct a very bad wrong. I am miffed about this release - I had such great expectations. My hope is they do correct this at some point - one thing would be to skip those trays - I often find it scary to pry the accessories/weapons from it. Your video does prove there is an easy fix to it and I thank you for sharing :) but we shouldn't have to do this, especially with a "deluxe" release.

Basically little to no effort taken on something we have to pay more for. No painted head, hands, terrible jetpack and pinched helmet. Cancelled my preorder, allowing this to happen and still buying it teaches Hasblow nothing. Us having to fix their problems is not a business model.
