The journey begins at the Fenestrelle Fort, the largest fortress in Europe built to defend the Kingdom of Italy from a possible French attack.
The Fortress takes place on a difference in height of 650 meters and has the peculiarity of having the longest covered stairway in the world, about 4000 steps.
Next, we go through the Maddalena pass into French territory to go towards the lake The lake of Serena Poncon, an artificial lake which is the 3 largest artificial freshwater reserve in Europe.
