Abraham also went to war when his Lot and Lot's tribe were in danger. He did what was necessary and made peace as soon as it was realistically possible. He defeated those who sought to hrm his family members and their tribe, then made peace with the others involved as soon as they showed themselves willing to make a lasting peace as equals in the land. Ham@s refuses to make peace. They keep saying, repeatedly, that they're going to keep repeating Oct. 7th as long as they hav the ability and numbers to do so. If we're using a biblical moral approach, Ham@s has to be defeated as thoroughly as necessary, along with those who support and prop them up to make their continued terr0rism possible. However, those in Gaz@ who want to make peace and move their culture in a better direction should be given the opportunity and support to make that happen. Peace and prosperity comes through decisions, hard work, and taking responsibility for the mess they've made for themselves by asking these people to lead them. If the people truly want to change and they demonstrate that by trying to rid themselves of their corrupt leadership, Israel will assist them to accomplish that. Then things can move forward and they can flourish - of they show all the nations around them that they really want true repentance - not just with Israel, but also the with other middle east countries whose governments they've harassed an tried to overturn over the years. Love, yes. Built bridges, yes. But personal responsibility is an enormous part of that process.

Like the previos comment.. i think you maybe quite depressed.. Its not suprising in the current "climate "... i have had days like you describe... its a constant battle to stay in the moment.. I read everything uplifting, mindfulness, humerous, positive books etc .. i also see a Psychologist, every 6 weeks, and meditate , pray, and reach out to others, always trying to listen to their stories, and give encouragement. I have experienced some real tragedies in my life, overcome them ,and tell others how it was for me. Start with the first step, "one day at a time". God bless, D.

Hello Rabbi, I agree with your views. BUT! There is a very important issue. You always call the arabs in Gaza who came from Saudi Arabia/ Agypt and Jordan mostly „Palestinians“ . Why? 1. There was never a Palestine state. There was the land of Israel that was called Palestine by the Romans. 2. Jews& Christians rebuild Jerusalem starting in 1700. No Muslim arbs lived there until 1880 3. The first muslim arabs came from surrounding regions for work. After the desert of Israel started to boom as an economy. So if there are Palestinians, they are Jews. 4. Most People who lived in that region after Israel was created still live in that region as muslim arab Israelis. 5. The people of Gaza are 80% from other regions. Best is to call them Agyptian/ Jordanian/ Libanese living in Gaza! When you say „Palestinian“ you are echoing the Arafat lie that there is a „occupied palestinian state.“ Which is the problem. That is why the former Prime Minister of Israel always says: „Gazans“.
