Funny thing about Titus is (I read this up on the Lexicanum recently) that apparently, after the end of the first game, he was basically held in a stasis chamber for roughly a century, with occasional interruptions for torture and interrogation, until the Inquisitor Thrax who had arrested him (the guy was super racist towards Space Marines) got possessed by a daemon himself (kind of ironic for a member of the Ordo Malleus) and killed off by the Grey Knights. The successor of that Inquisitor then realized that she had basically inherited a bunch of Space Marines in stasis, none of which had ever been proven heretical, so she just let 'em go. Titus, whose courage and valour shine significantly brighter than his intellect then assumed that he must have had disgraced the Ultrasmurfs because they didn't come pick him up, and therefore asked to join the Deathwatch as a Black Shield. Well, turns out the Ultramarines simply had no bloody idea what had happened to him. Chapter Master Calgar had tried to get the Inquisition to give him back after hearing of his arrest, but that obviously was refused. Next time they heard of the man was already a century later on Kadaku when Old Varro Tigurius apparently sensed Titus's soul and so they went to pick him up just as he was getting mangled by that Carnifex. Titus literally could have rejoined the Ultramarines a century sooner if he had bothered to tell anyone that he beat the allegations and had been released, but he just assumed the smurfs already knew and wanted nothing to do with him anymore for no reason.

@darthplagueis13 not gonna lie, that's fucked up lol I know very little of 40k (in the process of learning.) But this has to be on par with the bleak landscape. "They've forgotten me... ill join the death watch as penance." Meanwhile... "yo where's that paperwork on Titus?... who is Titus sir!?" 🤣🤣🤣

His given name is Captain Space Marine. He used to be Captain Captain Space Marine, and now he’s Lieutenant Captain Space Marine.

You have to give it to these poor Cadians. Their Homeworld is now gone (thanks Abbadon, you git) and yet they still fight on and yell "For Cadia!" even though it would remind them every time that Cadia is no more. Do applaud the game though for finally giving us a clear understanding of how powerful each Space Marine actually is. In the books, especially the pre-Horus Heresy ones the Space Marines are literally walking tanks (They almost are the height of a Leman Russ) but the model game never gives you that feel. This game does.
