Let’s go climb Conic Hill, Balmaha, Loch Lomond, Scotland

Located on the eastern side of Loch Lomond you will find Conic Hill
Nestled in the lovely village of Balmaha you will find the start of the 361m tall hill, popular with tourists from all over the world for its beautiful 360 degree views of Loch Lomond from the top of the hill. The hill and the loch sit on the Highland Boundary Fault between central Scotland and the Scottish Highlands. Loch Lomond is the largest fresh water Loch in Scotland.
I decided to take a longer route which is roughly around 6 miles coming out of Balmaha car park and turning left along the B837 towards Milton of Buchanan and then coming off the main road towards Creityhall is when the hike becomes rural and you are at one with nature. I did initially start off following a route on Komoot but I wanted to conserve my phone battery so decided to go rogue I find the trail myself, however fear not the route is fairly straight forward for anyone to follow easily.
You can instantly climb the hill from the car park and this will take about 2 hours, but it was very busy the day I arrived so taking the long route round and from the back to climb Conic Hill was the better option to have some me time alone in nature. It didn't disappoint.
