I'd say you do have a farm, with a great couple to do the work. Just sit back and enjoy, when something breaks or ya look out next morning after cutting and the rain is pouring down just let the manager deal with it. Sometimes it the best way to have a farm, sometimes.

Proper use of your hat after that humor! Have a great rest of the week and hay, thanks! I hope viewers appreciate all the extra work you and your family do to get the variety of shots in your videos! Back in the day, those shots would need helicopter rental, crane rental, rigs for cameras, etc. Now, its just a camera or two, a drone and a computer. Oh and good shots, audio and edits. Thank you for a wonderful morning video with my coffee!

Whoever is your drone operator does a fantastic job and it’s particularly satisfying with haying. I think the sickle mower would be a good candidate for a small restoration project. And your change in storing the hay i think is a great idea. I often wondered how you managed the rotation to make sure none of it stores too long and loses all nutritional value. Love the haying videos. They are so relaxing

Pete operates the drone himself. He has a higher optioned, “follow me” drone, that uses GPS and visual technology that can be set up to fly within certain height and distances of the operator. They are higher dollar drones, but give wonderful results making Pete’s videos so great!

Thank You for letting us see the hens breaking out from the "hen mobile". I so love to watch them and the cackling and singing they make. Also, you cutting hay, Pete, is so beautiful to watch. It reminds me of when I was a kid. We didn't have any hay field. We only had a 7 foot Massey mower and old rake to cut hay in the ditches along the highway. You talked about your grandfather, Pete. I can't help but to think you reminisce about those good times with him when you're out there mowing with the haybine or raking. Also, your stuff runs so smoothly and quietly, Pete! Thanks, both of you, for this wonderful video. Oh I forgot to mention the drone shots are also spectacular! :)

Pete, you should probably explain that the rollers are actually called "conditioner rollers" because they are there to break the stalks to even out the drying of the fodder. When I grew Lucerne (12 months of the year) narrowing up my windrows was critical to retaining some colour & nutrient in our hay because we lived in a hot climate (not just for clearance for the next round) All places have their own unique ways of drying hay, I often battled pending thunderstorms while bailing to get everything into the barn before it was spoilt. Tough times for us, but rewarding none the less!! Thanks again for sharing & bringing back such Great memories !

You are going to really enjoy the 856 next year. We never had a wide front tractor. A DC case, an A John Deere, and a 1949 silver king with one wheel in the front. We had an all of her trailer mower. That we pulled with the silver king. It only had four gears, and third gear, full speed was about 8 miles an hour, and we could cut hay with that mower twice as fast as our neighbors who have the Mounted sicklebar mower’s like you have for your H.

I kind of miss the old farming days, but I'm not sure I could stand the pace at my age now, so I really like your videos. Watching you start up the haybine, reminds me that I've thought about how you start with the first cut on the outer edge of the field. My dad always started with the tractor on the outside so he had some idea of how close to get to the fence row. That was with a five foot cut horse mower behind the 9N Ford/Ferguson, and the later 6 foot cut wasn't much different. The 7 ft mounted mower meant I (I don't think my dad ever cut hay with that one) had to stay an extra foot away from the fences.

In central Minnesota, we had to Swath our oats before combining. We had a 12 foot McCormick Deering swather with the wheels sticking out the back. It had two canvases that brought the grain to the inside and then a canvas that’s spit it out the back. I pulled it with the John Deere, and when we got to the end of a cut the turn, what caused the swather. To move backwards and come into the next 90° angle cut perfectly. Good morning Pete and Hillary 😊 I think Hillary almost needs armor when she feeds the broilers the way they rush the feeders😊 Pete, you were right about how beautiful the grass looks with the wind blowing across it❤ Watching these having videos makes me wanna run out to the nearest auction and load up on all the IH/Case tractors and haying equipment I can get my hands on. I love these videos, they're so relaxing and a wonderful way to start the morning 😊😊❤❤

Thanks for the memories Pete. Back in 1974 I was fourteen years old. My uncle put me on the 504 with the New Holland hey bine and let me go mower fields for him on his farm in East Genoa. I cultivated in later years with the 504 as well.

I love watching you cut hay. Very relaxing. I can almost smell it. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it looks like you'll be sitting pretty for hay this year. Should help you sleep better at night.
