My dad grew up very poor so I think he prided himself on always buying us new clothes and shoes (from kmart and payless), so I never started thrifting until my daughter got interested in it. Now its something special that we do together and its actually really fun finding good deals on things that would typically be out of our budget. Such special memories you're creating with your sweet girls ❤

What an amazing thrift store! All ours look like a messy yard sale 😂. Unshoppable! And Riley's tennis sweater is TOTALLY in style again, Mom!! I work in a high school and all the girls wear those, makes me feel old that all my 90s high school fashions are back...but that's another story 😂

We actually have a lot of nice ones in our area! There's some that I can take one look at and I feel like I need a bath from the uncleanliness. Riley definitely is more up to date on the style than me lol! I am a typical millennial still in my skinny jeans 😂

I absolutely LOVE thrifting, it's so much fun!! I ride Google too girl, it's the thrill of the deal!! I can't help it, I don't pay full price for anything unless I absolutely have to. I can wait for a sale, or thrift it when someone else has outgrown it. Clothing, kitchen, bath, everything is better when it's cheaper. You did AMAZING!! I'm so excited for you. May God bless 💙💙

Happy Birthday Hattie🎉 loved watching you guys thrifting! I didn't grow up poor, as a married adult, we were middle class but our circumstances changed a few years ago. My husband was injured at work and eventually had to go on disability. So I definitely have to watch my pennies. I have no shame in thrifting and I love finding a good deal! I also have a kohl's card, so I will take advantage of 30% off for cardholders and then shop the clearance racks. My best deal there was a Vera Wang dress that I got for less than 7.00 because all their clearance was an additional 50% off and I had a 30% coupon!

Happy 7th Birthday Hattie! Thrifting is the best, it's always like a treasure hunt. My second daughter had her Senior Formal (Australia's version of a Prom) at the end of last year and we found a dress with original tags on it for $15. We added extra layers of tulle on the skirt and glammed it with sparkly glass beads, she got lot's of compliments and felt like a princess 😊

My kids when little, would save any change from January to May in June there be 2 or 3 subdivision garage sale. High end subdivision. There was ine behind locked gates. Cars line up for miles till gates open. What was fun was by 10 they practically give away. We would get up early pack a lunch, cooler of water. List we make of anything we really needed. And garge sale till about noon than if need be hit thrift stores. Always found a park or two to play at. Great day, Great video.

I saw that HBO documentary about where the clothes go so I am all for thrifting. The fast fashion industry and as quickly as we discard clothes is makinga big ol mess. Plus Thrifting is smart and soooo fun! Good job and Happy Bday Hattie.

I've never seen the documentary. But, I think about this all the time. How much clothing ends up in land fills and how much waste it causes. Thrifting, for me, feels like I'm helping reduce that even by just a little bit. Thank you ❤️❤️
