Just cleaned some bottles, giving them time tp dry and going to try this and put the stems in the holes to create a cheap diy hanging plant!

Hey mine worked very well thank you!! Although.. I see roots but idk if I should plant it. Not all of them have roots yet. My friend told me I shoudnt plant them until all the roots combine because they’ll need a lot of water since they’ve grown used to a constant water source. My friend also told me that I could probably grow them without soil. Can someone explain what I should do ?

Happy to know that yours worked well, I always shift them to the soil after 2 or 3 weeks as this way they become stronger and grow fast and spread in the pot as well. My recommendation is shift them to the soil, do trial and error this way you will learn their pattern of growth.

I’ve been attempting to grow mint now the last 10 days or so from some left over mint I bought two/three weeks ago. They’ve been in water now 10 days maybe and I’m just now planting them in soil. They have long roots now up to 2,5cms long ish. I just tried without any real knowledge and so far so good we’ll see how it goes. I also took some mint and just stuck it in a pot and it’s still alive, very slow but now that I look at it it seems to be starting to grow and looks extremely healthy. I’m just now putting both of the “mint experiments” in 20$ grow light with 10 super small baskets in water so they’ll probably actually grow much faster now. It’s very cold where I am (Scandinavia) and we have it like 17,5/18 - 19,5 Celsius inside (electricity prices are outrageous) ao pretty cold. So in my experience its been surprisingly easy just takes some time. I literally have no experience or anything but just tried some different methods since I had leftover mint. So since I’m placing them under the growlight right now at this moment they should grow much faster and hopefully I can have fresh mint year round. I can update with how they’ll do now in soil and under a lamp.

I have found this works *much* better if you leave a couple leaves at the top. Just a couple. Also, for the love of all that is good in this world, keep your mint in a pot or it will be overgrowing everything else in the yard inside of five years.

This happened with me as well recently, you need to keep the mint in the shaded area with not too much sun exposure as the mint will take time to adapt this new environment and grow. Check soil and do not over water, you will learn this by trial and errors.

Depends on the area and temperature in your area. For me, after putting stems in the water with in 2 days small leaves appear. 1 week the leaves grew and 2 week I planted them and took care of them. With month the pot was filled up with healthy old ones and new ones. So try an find out how much time it’s going to take 👍
