I have often thought about why you two, and your channel, continue to be appealing, when there ARE SO MANY food AND travel channels out here (and, there ARE, oy!) SO, here are my reasons why I hang in there with you: 1) You two are so in love and happily married, yet, you are not all mushy-gushy about it). 2) You have such an appetite for travel, as well as a zeal for all sorts of foods, in equal measure. 3) You two are NOT vain. You come as you are and ... in an age when women trowel on their makeup AND both genders feel they have to be so stylish to appear on camera, your approach is more relaxed, and less so obviously self-centered. 4) You are spontaneous and highly flexible in ways that one would not expect of a middle-aged couple. 5) You let viewers get to know the kids / your blended family. 6) You like the same foods I do, by and large ... except for da poke which I ONLY eat at The Kahuku Superette but nowhere else. 7) You are from a city I like. 8) You have a very matter of fact, straightforward, down-to-Earth way of expressing yourselves. 9) You REALLY LOVE TO IMBIBE BOOZE! (Woo-hoo, me too!) 10) And, last but certainly NOT least: YOU folks give ALL we poor(er) armchair tourists chances to travel with you, as though we were actually accompanying you! 😊 Your viewers feel like ... WE ARE THERE. And, in a way we are. You take us along with you.

Great video. I’ve stayed at the Surfjack . Really liked it. It’s small and affordable compared with other Waikiki hotels. Four of us stayed in the penthouse. It has a rooftop patio that is charming. This video brought back memories 😊

Liliha Bakery used to be all the HPD Solo Bike Detail to visit for breakfast in the morning. Eight of us were all there early one morning and our motorcycles took up nearly all the parking. An elderly Japanese gentleman came into the bakery and in a somewhat loud voice asked why all the Police Motorcycles were taking up all the parking spaces. Then he laughed and took a seat at the counter.
