Let's Have Fun with Scraps!

Hi Angela! Well, now that our crazy busy summer is over & grandkids are back to school, I've finally had time to enjoy my craft room and this delightful seaside journal project. I was excited to see that you were tackling an accordion style journal, as I've wanted to try making one for quite awhile! I've spent the last three days gathering materials, printing pages, fussy cutting and inking, and have finally completed all tasks you've assigned through the third video. Whew - that's a lot of prep work, but SO worth it as I'm beginning to see how cool this is gonna be and how it will all come together! This has been so much fun so far, and so inspirational - I already have visions of different types of journals I can make using this little beauty as a prototype! Hope you've had a fun summer! I think I heard you mention that your dear Mum & Auntie will be visiting you next month - I'm so happy for all of you and know that you will cherish each moment you have together! Dear CyndiSue, such an amazing message from you. I am delighted to catch up with you and hear all the news. I did enjoy a wonderful Summer too but am looking forward to the cooler months, as it sure is crafting weather. It is a lot of work, but it has really been so amazing to try this type of journal and I am delighted to read that you have wanted to try this too. I think it is a great one for storage of holiday memories etc. May you have as much fun with it as I have. Yes, I am looking forward to seeing my Mum and Auntie. It has been too long. I adore Fall. Being an older woman that likes cooler temperatures, I also like winter, but we get too much snow in Michigan. I love butternut squash soup. Ya know, I wasn’t going to do this project because I want to get caught up on older projects but I have to do it now. It is stunning Angela. And a whole different type of journal for me. Hi Angela running a bit behind with these videos but love the vibe, colours and beautiful designs. It reminds me of retro 50's holidays, I remember donkey rides on the beaches. A good use of the scraps!!! I am loving the way this one is turning out. Working on another quick project..... then it will be time to re-assess where I am at!! I know I have two more journals where I have everything prepared, only have to make the cover to fit everything in!!! We are now is Spring but it has been feeling more like summer!!! Thankfully the nights are much milder. While hubby and I have the chance, we are getting a lot of the 'tidying up after winter'!!! So that is keeping me busy for now!!!

Haha! Definitely no time to powder my nose. I love that! I just go with the moisturiser now and leave the rest. If I have to go out for some reason I put on some lipstick. So pleased you are deeply involved with all those journals. Some of my absolute favourites too. Take your time and enjoy yourself. I promise there is no deadline.
