Thank you so much! You are a fantastic teacher. We are hoping to visit Tromsø in August. My grandfather was born there, and my grandmother near Henningsvaer. Learning Norwegian is easier than figuring out how to get from point A to point B, but I’m determined to set foot where they once walked!

I have some Brunost coming in the mail. Very much interested in it?! Probably just going to eat it with waffles. I am assuming it's not melted on?!

how does one eat smørbrød without having everything up your nose and on your shirt? 😅 Just as difficult as eating "bruschetta".
@NorwegianJoVideos
@NorwegianJoVideos 2 жыл бұрын
Hahah, so true! In this case, the best option is to eat part of the smørbrød with a knife and fork before trying to bite into it XD

1) Jeg tror jeg vil gjerne å [try, not prøve] molte. • What is the best word for ‘try’ in this context? Hopefully, my grammar is correct. I left the å in place because of the use of gjerne (from your video on that, so thanks!) but I feel like å should be dropped because of the use of vil.
@NorwegianJoVideos
@NorwegianJoVideos Жыл бұрын
The best word would be “å prøve”. And you’re right, you’d drop “å” in this sentence. The word order also changes a little: -> Jeg tror jeg gjerne vil prøve multer You’re doing great!🇳🇴
@stevenjohnson7086
@stevenjohnson7086 Жыл бұрын
@@NorwegianJoVideos Thanks :) Question: Why did the word order change? From your video example “Jeg vil gjerne spise” I presumed gjerne follows vil/skal.
@NorwegianJoVideos
@NorwegianJoVideos Жыл бұрын
@@stevenjohnson7086 If you. haven't studied how word order is affected by independent and dependent clauses, it might seem a bit strange. It works similarly to how the word "ikke" changes places in sentences: Jeg vil ikke dra (I don't want to leave) Jeg tror at jeg ikke vil dra (I think that I don't want to leave) It's a bit too much to explain here, but you can try to look for information on word order and dependent clauses.
