Bill you should torque the bolts from the center out in a star or cross pattern

There are pressure storage antifreeze spray can made exactly for these pump on amazon and everywhere else no more than 10$ you screw them to your water intake and spray the inside with a rubber rings and seal protecting chemical solution ! you ask yourself why the oil is milky and don't check the specs for what kind off oil it takes and how much ? there is thousand of oil types you got to use the recommended one !

M6 socket head cap screw torque to 20.3 N.m or 15 ft/lbs.

I'm guessing he went waaaayy over that !! Not to mention too much LokTite on those threads. Too much of that will make it 'lubricated' threads therefore he should have been even more careful on that 'torque' used on those bolts,...but hey,...it's his pump I guess.

that "milky" oil i think is teflon or a pre-lube. Iy is supposed to look like that.

I think that top side pipe plug above the sope inlet could be used for a high pressure gauge. They probably reuse the test oil with water in it form bad pumps.

Usually milky oil is water and oil mixed, maybe it is a used unit.

Why would you want to blow the water out when you use it your going to put water right back in. right?????
@TheThecyclist6 жыл бұрын
when its in the garage the water would freeze up if the temperature drops thats why he blew the water out of it
thats all you needed to do is spray the pump saver in the pump and will prevent from freezeing.. my mistake on my washer first year i owned mine.

Bill they test the pump at the factory thats why there's drops of water inside the unit. Thanks for sharing Bill.

That little water wont hurt anything. Hope it still works.

Condensation in the crankcase? I can see water in the head from testing, but I can't see how else moisture would have got in the crankcase. . . .??
@jerryodonoghue86246 жыл бұрын
Don't think you should have opened up the pump. The little bit of water that was in there was simply residue from test run at factory. I believe that your warranty is now void. If the oil was in the unit I believe that it should be okay if its not water. There is definitely a torque spec on these bolts because of the high pressure and if they are tightened improperly it could cause your head to warp??

that piece is for letting water out if pump gets to hot soap valve is on other piece right before pressure hose goes on

I think i would fill that pump to the brim with the correct oil, and after an hour empty it fully to hopefully remove the last crap oil out, then fill to the line as normal.

Hi. Greetings from Norway. Did you say NEW pump? My toughts are that when you found that "mayonnaise" at 15:50, I was as sceptical as you were. And the close up at 18:07 showing - I think shaft are the right word - but so full of dens and dings, I am sure that pump are not new, as no company with respect for itself would let such a product out, except for scrap. At that time, 18:07, I felt that was the right time to decide return, and ask for a flawless pump. If that is not done, I think its best to get off that lid with the oilplugs, and clean out all that "mayonnaise" before filled with new oil

Mmmmm, I’m kinda early to a video. Great job. Was that the PowerFist 4000 psi 4 gpm pump that PA sells for the 420cc engines ?

Why would you buy a brand new, expensive pump and then proceed to take it apart?
@charlier.87316 жыл бұрын
It seems like every thing breaks
