You should make more advanced Japanese videos

This serves as very good comprehensible input. But I have to be honest about my experiences with Japanese for over 40 years. Most Japanese do not like it when westerners speak Japanese, especially at a legitimate level. They will sometimes 1. Immediately walk away if you start speaking Japanese (both in Japan and abroad), 2. Pretend not to understand and ask you to speak English, 3. Get angry/violent.

This vocabulary and grammar is way far too advanced for a beginner... but I really like this format. I completed Genki Vol.1, yet cannot follow most of this unfortunately, and really want to. Sad😢. Otherwise, this is amazing work you did.

start with the Unpacking (ep. 1) video and watch it every day for a week, then add the second one. I actually learned so much from those and it carries over to the Shashingo videos. It's really difficult and frustrating at first but just watch the videos over and over and like magic your brain will suddenly and randomly figure things out, though sometimes only a word or two a day!

Oh, I just saw your bit about Genki, sorry I missed that! Your ear is not used to hearing the sounds of the language but once it does, you will pick up your vocabulary you already learned! It just takes some time and a lot of input! btu she speaks super slow and clear so that helps a lot.
