Hi there! Team Italy 1 captain here! A couple of notes. Selection this year in Italy was a bit of a mess: at the start it seemed that we could have only one team, so we did the selection in the biggest tournament, similar in format to ardacon (which I and my team won). Then a squad tournament for italy2 and lastly the third team was created with the strongest non-yet-selected players. Hope it helps a little. About lists and fake lists: Balistas in the end was a particularly popular fake list (luckily), but just the existence of that damned army force you to list consequently. It's bad for the variety, but cannot be helped. Italy 1 fake list was the Esterlings. I brought azog's hunters (which were a counter to AOL and hordes). Italy 2 fake list was Balistas. They are the true heroes. Italy 3 fake list was Goblin Town. France 1 fake list was Balistas (we played against them) I don't remember Poland, but they played MT with siege weapons for sure

Poland 1 fake liste was Balista (we play against them) We Choose the lingering in GobelintoWn army for 2 reasons : - Bring a banner (for 3 scénarios) - To stay when GobelinTown will be broken (with more Time that can happen) Thank for the video, see you next time :)

I think a few lists need to be dialed back. Both assaults are clear Goblin town is another. Lothlorien i believe the easiest way to nerf it is you must have a 50/50 split of orcs and goblins. They are meant to be an allied force and you see almost exclusively goblins. Goblin town could use a few nerfs not necessarily all. But if the goblins stay with current points they need to go to 5 points. They can spear support or piercing strike for S4. Goblins should not benefit from gollums steadfast. Blubbery mass to a 4+ Helms deep is a tough one for me. Not sure what would dial it bad but not kill it outright. Yall have any ideas?

Our fake list from germany 1 was serpent horde, corsairs. We run into Italy 2 in the last game on table 2, while table 1 tied. Unfortunately it was glorfindel, aragorn, witchking, thrydan vs our druzhag, saruman, witchking and emperor in contest of champions. Our witchking tied unluckily, my emperor won, but the 2 casters had a hard time... 😉

I'm sure the social aspects of this tournament were a great time but game-wise sounds terribly not fun, AoL and AoHD every game lol Also, that crazy Watcher, Spider Queen, Mordor list is definitely playable, I got 7th at Nova last year with a variant of that list! Thanks for reviewing guys!

The guy playing it (Luca comoretto) is the current Italian league champion and played the watcher for the entirety of the last year

Hey guys, my name is Alex and I wanted to share my list that won me the (current as of writing) largest tournament in Texas.The idea of the list is to have a list with Radagast the Brown on Great Eagle, and the best way I thought to do that was to take Ratagast with Tom Bombadil and just max out on as many models as I can. I really enjoyed playing the list and am curious on your thoughts. Also, how would you adjust the list to go down to 650 (if that is even possible). Thanks guys! P.S. My turn to complain my list didn't get picked! Lol. This is the list I posted last episode but now I feel a lot better after getting a few more games and I plan to take this in two weeks to a tournament. Dark powers of dol guldur 750 points Hero of Legend The Necromancer 3 fell wargs 3 mirkwood spider 6 gundabad orcs w/spear and shield 6 hunter orcs, 4 w/ bows Hero of Fortitude Keeper of the Dungeons 6 gundabad orcs w/ spear and shield Gundabad Orc w/ spear,shield and banner 5 hunter orcs, 4 w/bow Minor Hero Castellan w/morgul blade Castellan w/morgul blade This feels like the best way to play a "standard" dol guldur list that fits my style. It has a versatile shield wall,speed and punch from spiders as well as the castellan and keeper grinding my opponent. All backed up by the necromancer. Thoughts?

Well, it appears the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I posted this list a while back but I’ll post it again in case that helps. Here is an all cav list for you to look at. It is the Elmer’s Riders LL. I’m hoping to expand this list to 1000 points for TGX in Toronto. I have done real well with this list at 800 points (including a podium finish and some top table last round losses) and I would love your thoughts on expanding it to 1000. Leader warband Eomer with horse, shield, and throwing Spear (TS) 1 rider of Rohan with banner 2 warband Gandalf the white on shadowfax 2 riders of Rohan 3 warband Erkenbrand on Horse 2 westfold red shields with TS 4 westfold red shields 4 warband Captain of Rohan with Horse, heavy armour, shield and TS 2 riders of Rohan 21 models, 800 points on the dot, 11 might, 17 bows, 10 Ts. I look forward to hearing your thoughts, but IMO I love playing this LL and definitely plan to keep it as one of my bread and butter options.

Hey guys! Just started getting into the podcast and it's been really helpful for a total noob. I'm a ye ol' Warhammer fantasy player, who got out of the hobby when GW nuked it way back, but have recently discovered SBG and am hooked. For last several months I've been collecting a Rivendell force and finally have enough models to field 800 points pretty comfortably, but have been struggling.. I'm curious your thoughts on this list I'm planning to take to my first 800 pt tourney. I've run a few practice games with it and my first impression is it's very matchup dependent due to the low numbers and Gil Galads susceptibility to heavy magic lists. Gilgalad with horse and shield (Leader) 8 high elves with shield 3 high elves with bow, spear 1 high elf with spear, shield, banner 4 kings guard with spear, shield Glorfindel with armor and asfaloth 3 high elves with shield 2 high elves with bow, spear 1 high elf with spear, shield 2 knights with shields Cirdan 3 high elves with shield 3 high elves with bow, spear 800 pts, 33 models, 10 bows, 7 might I've toyed with increasing the numbers closer to 40 by swapping gilgalad out for a captain or erestor, but have found without the second big combat piece the elven warriors hit like a wet noodle against d6 targets. F6 kings guard are also nice. However, 33 models is pretty low so I worry about the prospect of running into 50+ urukhai or heavy spellcasting transfixing gilgalad into oblivion. Curious on your thoughts for an optimal Rivendell build at 800. I don't have models for allies but have been eyeing a Lothlorien and Numenor contingent for the future. Thanks!!

Yes, for example Team Ireland One could face Team Ireland Two. But not on Day One, because when they put teams into the Pools for Day One, you couldn't have two teams from the same country in the same Pool. There was a team of players from Dubai/the UAE in 2022, but in 2023. There is apparently a Vietnamese team in the works. Also, there were no actual Ukrainians on the Ukraine team, LOL. Teams could not have the same named Hero more than once across the team's lists. And only instance of each faction or Legendary Legion. Assault Upon Helms Deep, Assault on Lothlorien, and Army of Laketown all need a nerf.
