Oh wow - so far this is my favorite! I love this old mid century ephemera and love the theme - I have used that theme before and have been dying to get to another. I am so excited to watch this series. I agree - there is a sadness about the letters and cards . I always wonder - why aren't they with the family? I suppose they either died out or didn't want them - but you will honor their memory by using them. I'll watch part two tomorrow night - Love this, Kimberly!

@@DorothyJanetoo I love that you'll be following along Dody! It was an interesting tine in history causing each decade to be quite different. I hope it motivates you to put one together too 🙌💕 Textiles and photos video is next, then onto the 1930s signature(s) My sorted boxes are filled up!!

I absolutely loved your explanation of the different decades. How did you learn all that? I would love to learn more!

Glad you enjoyed it! I find period decor/decorative arts fascinating and studied it by reading and visiting historic places and museums for fun. I ended up discovering something unknown in the process concerning one of the earliest ( some say first) 18th C. textile printer and wallpaper. It was excepted for publication by the scholarly The Magazine Antiques in the 2008 August hardcopy issue. It was also online with photos for many years but now it's just the text, except for one bedstead with furnishings that isn't the artist's work. I could give you 2 links if you're interested. One I wrote for the American Folk Art Museum Magazine in NY which has pictures of the textiles but it's not about wallpaper. it came out shortly before, 2007 I think. also an honor to be published there. I have more than enough reseach and theories for a book. It lives in the back of my mind after starting but not finishing. DM me on IG if you want the links. You'll find many worthy books and publications in the footnotes in the articles or you to learn more.
