What I love about these late 1974-75 episodes (including seeing them on The Family Channel [FreeForm] was the little sneak preview of an upcoming deal at the top of the show. I saw one a few weeks ago on this channel where Jay Stewart did a sneak peek involving a box of rice and gravy from the company then called Uncle Ben's...knowing of course that when you have a grocery item, you hide some green stuff in it...and I don't mean lettuce!

Don't forget back in 1973 a woman held onto a Let's Make A Deal claim check during the entire show. When Monty asked if she wanted to trade it in for a door she agreed to do so. Low and behold what she gave up was the big deal worth $9,599.00! A Buick Electra 225 and $3,000.00 in cash she held onto the whole time! She didn't win the big deal but won linens and towels, a car stereo and portable stereo and 7 kitchen appliances worth over $3,000.00

That was certainly the biggest amount risked for the Big Deal up to that point, until a $10K fur coat was risked on the 1986 episode with Jay and Carol making cameos. The person risking the fur coat didn't get the Big Deal

I'd withhold from the husband for a month after giving up that bond 😂😂😂

I'm surprised that Monty didn't tell her "Pick a door and don't ask your husband for advice " like a woman sid back in 1970 giving up $4,500.00 in a box of candy. She chose the door on her own, winning 4 tires, a travel trailer, and $350 in gas. She redeemed herself by winning over $5,000 in prizes!
