Thank you 😊 I am normally on live. I have somebody editing my live streams down to smaller videos. And then I finish the edit. So if you look at the live stream you’ll see a lot more videos. I’ll be on tomorrow too making two more heart-to-heart necklaces.

Gorgeous whale tails. Where do you find sterling silver spoons?
@FlatwareCreationSS10 ай бұрын
The spoon was silver plated. But I find a lot of my spoons from shops that buy golden silver. People often times spring in their families, silver and sell it. And then I come along and sort through it and pick out the stuff that I can afford. Lol.

Okay I really need to know how to get started as a beginner. I truly find this craft very interesting.
@FlatwareCreationSS8 ай бұрын
I started with a fork from Walmart and made a double heart bangle bracelet for my daughter. Then I made rings. The rings are probably the easiest way to earn money to buy more silverware and tools. That is definitely the fastest way. Get a stainless steel ring mandrel and a vice with a flat anvil spot. Iv been using the same one since the beginning almost 10 years ago. A nylon mallet and a dead blow hammer for flattening spoons. Bolt cutters and a sharpie. A piece of paneling to protect the silverware from getting marks. And s file or dremel tool for sanding any hard spots. I will see if I can make a ring with minimal tools video. Thank you for your comment and watching. 😊

Different questions how to get cement out of knife handles
@FlatwareCreationSS8 ай бұрын
The ones they are filled with mortar are really hard to get cleaned out all the way. I’ve used masonry bits, diamond bits, and they’re all very hard to get everything out. I’ve started just cutting them in half lengthwise and then turning them into rings or punching out stud earring shapes.

I noticed you have (is it PVC) around your bracelet form- what is the purpose? I think I missed something.
@FlatwareCreationSS10 ай бұрын
So it is a 1 inch PVC coupling. I ground the center inner ring out so that it was smooth and it would fit over that forming wheel. When I got to where I was making my bracelets, I had a certain shape that I was making. And then I got the flatwearable system and I couldn’t quite get that exact shape. So that was my fix to get the shape I wanted. They do break because they don’t fit exactly around there is a little gap. But they’re like a dollar and it’s well worth a dollar to me to be able to get the shape that I want. Great question thank you.

So sorry to keep bugging you- I think I'm going to try this bracelet. I ordered a drain auger to get the coil but I think it's made out of stainless steel- is there a different kind of flux and solder I need to use? @@FlatwareCreationSS
@FlatwareCreationSS10 ай бұрын
@@cynthiahicks1909 I like the ruby fluid, but what I’m using in the video is the soldering flux from Flatwearable.com

I don't think I would have the patience to tackle this.

After the first and second one you will have a system that works for you. I’m sure that you can do this. 👍😊
