Hi! I make trinkets too :) Yours are so niceee, I'm kinda obsessed with resin sun catchers (since I can't do it with glass) or with rounded beach glass with resin glace, so I would love to see some ideas of suncatchers or just hanging decor with pretty sun reflecting colors or something like that, of course whatever you do is just perfect so if you do that or not I will eat your video anyways! Plus adding: Something sparrow related, it's my fav bird and I can't find a lot of content about them, they are so important and beautiful but since they does not have brilliant colors people don't use to use them as models and it makes me sad, just an Idea, I have one sparrow girl that I rescue (its my job) and she is my life, I would love to see something sparrow related >< ty!

Don't know if you have made any of these but I have seen cute plant pots with animals. Like the bowl has 4 little legs and on the side it has a neck and head of animal. The lama/alpaca ones are really sweet. Also, anything with cats and rabbits would be nice too.

Might not be the vibe for a video, but I’m working on lots of furniture refinishing for my dorm (cheap/sustainable option for me to satisfy the urge to feel I’m in a British manor). Do you ever refinish wood at a scale larger than the beautiful wooden pieces and model you posted in the winter?

I’ve been watching your videos for 11 years and I still get excited whenever you upload another clay/trinket making video haha. Your channel has been a huge source of comfort/inspiration to me for over a decade and it’s been incredible to see it flourish over the years. Thank you for continuing to share your art! 🌱

I love how there are little clay particals on the camera lense when you were shaving off the access clay. It makes the viewing experience even more emersive than how it already is✨️🤍 thank you for this beautiful art creation! Also, I've always thought that it's fascinating how many of your art choices resonate greatly with me, I could swear that we have at least this one brain cell that thinks similarly😂😄💖 🍉🤍🤍

your 3d creations (wood carving and air dry clay!) are my favorite videos from your channel! it's so interesting that your style is still evident despite the different mediums! i am also waiting for you to jump right into handbuilt ceramics ! 😆
@Sarsange3 ай бұрын
If your clay cracks is probably because it dried too fast and when it happens it shrinks a little bit, if you put the trinkets with something inside to secure its form maybe it shrinked since it didn't fit anymore and cracked, I use to solve this putting a cup of water near my drying pieces or covering with plastic so the water releasing is not too fast (like regular pottery clay)
@PearFleur3 ай бұрын
ah wow thank you for the tip! will try that next time :)
@annenix61952 ай бұрын
We do that in the lab too, but we use a wet cotton and cover so it doesn't dry so fast. Great tip
@Sarsange2 ай бұрын
@annenix6195 I use cloth or gauze because one day, the cotton turned into a very cute, healthy and prolific hotel for mushrooms 🤣🤣
@AB-ez1eh2 ай бұрын
Thank you this is a good tip! I was wondering if my desert climate might affect the clay drying (I haven’t tried yet) so I will definitely try this!
@Sarsange2 ай бұрын
@@AB-ez1eh I live in a very hot summer country so my clay cracks almost every time if I don't use this tip so if it happened to you this is probably the reason, if the pieces are drying too fast it shrinks not evenly and makes the clay less flexible so it cracks, it depends of the clay too but regular air dry clay (and ceramic) acts like this. (sorry if my english is bad)

Clay can crack while drying for several reasons, like if it's not hydrated homogenously, if it dries quicker on one part than the other, or if it dries too quickly. The logic is, with more water, the surface is larger, so the object needs to shrink all at the same proportion. That's also why clay pieces always come out smaller after getting fired. Lovely video as always! Reminded me of how much I miss working with clay!

so gorgeous!! i adore your work. i wonder if the cracking was due to uneven drying or maybe the piece shrinking down against the rigid plastic it was formed around? one thing you could try to troubleshoot is loosely covering with a plastic sheet and allowing it to dry more slowly, i know that's how a lot of mud clay artists dry down clay to prevent cracking. i've loved watching you try new things as an artist!
@SteffiMunnecom3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for showing the full process, including how you handled the cracks. Love everything you made here! Those candle holders are absolutely gorgeous and the little frog is so precious. I hope (and am positive) your brother will love it! I might take a chance and also try something like this out.

If you enjoy air dry clay i would highly recommend trying fired ceramics! The glazes add another layer of fun and you don't have to worry as much about breaking. If you cannot access a studio, many people who have kilns rent space in theirs (this is what i use)
