Thanks for these videos, great nostalgia. Over Christmas I have been watching a lot of 8 Bit vids. Dave Arlington's Action! ones especially. Can I point out, and I hope I'm not spoiling a future video, since you are using an inline code display list - as your code grows you are going to push it closer to a 1K boundary, if it crosses one then you'll have issues. I haven't used MADS but guessing it has code alignment directives to help with this.

Can I use antic4 and a 2x2 character tile set up or is that just asking for trouble later on?

You can of course set it up however you'd like! The same concepts still apply.
