Are there any programs in Nova Scotia to build new homes or replace existing homes with earth bermed homes? There is a specific way of orientating the opened side of an earth berm home toward the south and then umbrella-insulating the roof, which means to connect the roofs insulation directly with the surface grade of the earth on the north west and east sides. The earth surrounding the home, and below the umbrella, acts as a slow release solar temperature tank. Test models show that these types of homes withdraw a MUCH lower percentage of power from the grid. If all materials used are renewables/recyclable this type of home could be considered a zero energy home. Best

In your video "Let's Make Energy Efficiency Our First Fuel" you say the cost of energy production in NS is $0.12 per kwh. Is this a dated cost? Is it not closer to $0.145 per kwh?
