I always like to watch a tutorial all the way through once before painting. I have to say, you speak SO CLEARLY that I can watch you on 1.75x speed and still understand you. It’s such a fun way to get prepped for a painting!

Most folks already mentioned Steel Magnolias referring to the women who endure so much heartbreak (but also thrive through so much joy). But there’s an offhand comment made by M’Lynn in the movie - at least I think it’s her - about Drum, her husband. He’s handling his daughter’s death so badly (and rightfully so) but she says “men are supposed to be made of steel or somethin’”. It’s in reference to the perception that men are the stronger of the genders when we all are frail and break - just in different ways, at different times. It’s a fantastic movie. And gods, M’Lynn at the funeral with “I can run all the way to Texas and back” and “take a whack of Ouiser!” From Clarice… I’m all nostalgic now lol.

Saw somewhere to buy poster hanging putty and stick a small amount on surface of choice like a window or any surface the putty sticks to and hang your brushes, brush side down to dry so your paint brush handles won't split from water entering. Just a little FYI.

Sarah, I'm not sure this is where I should ask or request this but I'll do it anyway. Lol. Have you heard of a technique called Grisaille? Please look it up if you haven't. I saw Lindsey (the frugal crafter) do a watercolor painting using this technique and I fell in love with it. I bet a lot of viewers would love to see this technique done on a smaller and easier scale. She used it as an under painting of sorts then painted color on top. It's a beautiful type of style for watercolors. Check it out maybe? Lol 😃 Thanks

Hi Cassie! Monochrome projects can be a log of fun. Sarah has done a few beginner level ones to teach basic techniques in the past. Have you watched Monochrome Mountains, Birch Trees, or even Hide and Seek? Those can be a fun entry into this concept.

I’m dying 😂 drinking paint water cannot be worse than this… I went to the zoo with my family and a woman and her kids had an identical stroller to my sisters, I went up to the stroller sipped my drink and went about my activities. This woman turns to me and goes “ did you just drink my drink?” I, mortified said “no!” Then I in fact realized I had drank her drink and I want standing at the wrong stroller. Oops.
