I'm a bit confused, you are talking about values in the foreground vs background and I thought that saturation is what matters most (saturation and sharpness). In any case, thanks for your videos, I love your channel!

When working with a bunch of near grey shades there there isn’t much saturation to work with. Both effects are working to provide “atmospheric perspective”-in either case the choice to vary colors for distance is emulating the effect of things fading into the color of the air itself. For saturated colors you can desaturate them (as they fade into a pale blue-grey) and for dark colors you can also just lighten them for some of the same effect.

I think this one was about 12" in height by 18" length. Not 100% sure as this was a while ago, but something about that size

Where do you sell your art? Is there a market out there where art actually sells? I know of many folks that paint landscapes but have a garage full of unsold pieces. Their pieces are pretty good too. But just don't sell. Prices are low.
