I'm glad you liked the editing style! I'll try to keep this style up for the next art video. It still is sped up by a ton technically- it actually took about 22 hours to paint this. But I didn't want any of the painting to seem faster than usual, so I just cut out all of the in between parts. The parts where I'm painting are in real time, you just don't see me constantly dipping my brush in paint over and over again 😂

Theres a liquid resist that you can use, called masking fluid, it's almost like a rubber cement but more soft bodied and meant for peeling off, sometimes for the smaller bits I like to use that rather than using an exacto. Idk if you've ever tried it, but I love the stuff cause you can paint it on so quickly and it comes off so easity, and it's so precise 🌸

@@chibicelesti4859 so I like the Utrecht brand, the 118mL bottle is about 10 usd, and it's more product than I can ever go through, as long as you don't leave the cap off it will last you forever and a day. Being that I'm from southern California it's one that is easy to find at an art store we have here called Blick's. But the windsor and Newton brand one is around the same price for a little less product, but it's also much higher quality and I'm sure you can get it almost anywhere.

For anyone curious about the Norman Rockwell painting she mentioned as her inspiration at the beginning of the video, I'm pretty sure she's referring to The Gossips; which is a really cool piece in its own right, especially when you read about how all of the subjects were modeled after real people since Rockwell didn't like painting from his imagination because he believed it was not natural to draw people strictly from imagination. Just thought I'd share since I haven't seen any other comments talking about it :)
