From the second game onward, the Monkey net was designed to be the finisher on monkeys - attack first with the quick Stun Club or Dash Hoop, finish up with the slower net. It's quite hard to catch monkeys with just the net, as you've found!

Ah that make much more sense! I'll have to keep that in mind when I play Ape Escape 3, because I didn't know that's how the time net behaved! I was just getting all mad and angry that it was super difficult to capture them compared to 2! Thanks for the heads up, hopefully the next game won't make me get as mad as much haha! Although Time Trials will always make me rage it seems!
