I played the beta test with Colin and Wayne and the game is solid, really good artwork and minis. It has a Walking Dead All Out War feel but more looting and variation in NPCs. Solo and multiplayer is built in (beta test had 6 players). As for RNG it's a dice game so that's part of the fun for me, the custom dice (not shown in this vid) make it easy to follow so very little maths/ tables to reference. Kickstarter goes live tonight at 8pm so definitely worth having a look, especially the terrain. What you see should included in the standard box/ pledge - it wasn't particularly focused on in this video but is stunning. =)

I'm hooked just from the first 10 minutes, but then I go to find where I can buy it and I see a Kickstarter from 2017, fully backed. I can't find it on Amazon or when I go to the Google shopping list. I've never dealt with a Kickstarter, but can I not buy this? I'm confused.

It looks like the box set but if you back on Kickstarter there is additional terrain added free to your pledge as well as more miniatures!

I want to like this game, but the RNG element looks way too strong. When there is dice involved luck is always a factor, but RNG doesn't stop there in Core Space. Were the items you found in the crates terrible? Tough luck, but there is still hope. Oh wait, did almost all enemies also spawn right on top of you? Better luck next time. It's like one layer of RNG on top of another and for me that's a bit too much.

There are 3 items in a crate it sounds like and there is no dice involved in searching. You simply approach the crate and search it. Normally there will be one item you want early on, but as we see at about 8:50 he finds three items to swap for the initial two he began with. As for enemies spawning, it's not guaranteed they will even arrive but depends on how far along the hostility tracker is, that's less random than you're implying. Personally I don't like this scenario objective because it's more fun to work cooperatively against the Purge and other NPCs, sometimes working with the Corps and Civilians. Lots of potential for house rules and new enemies. Visually impressive terrain. One of the best releases for 2018
