idk if you're still going to reply to me since this video is pretty old but how did you level to 2?

Enemies will drop MP Medals and enough of those level you up. You get those from killing enemies or breaking stuff like crates. You can get more by "panicking" enemies by doing stuff like hitting them with objects around the level or doing enough damage to them really fast. Panicked enemies will drop a bit more medals. The level resets back to 1 at the beginning of each level and its lame to have to grind the medals every level. Hope that explains a bit!
