Hey man, glad you found it useful! I don't really have a 'best ship' it just depends how you like to play. I'd say the Engi C, Crystal ships and Zoltan ships are very powerful out of the box. Sadly I don't really get the time to record gameplay any more, it takes a long time and I normally play the game in little spurts now! If you have any specific requests though, I'll see what I can do.

I destroyed the Flagship for the first time in "normal advanced" mode yesterday (Thanks to your reddit guide). I made it with the Zoltan B. I'm not such a good player, so I'll share my experience here, in hope it may help some people ! I think the Noether is really a great ship, because you don't have to worry about weaponry. You can kill the flagship with it's basic weapons. All I added to my offensive power was an automated reloader, a basic laser and a Beam Drone 1 that I looted somewhere. Very far from a perfect combination. I think the automated reloader is the augment to have with this ship. It allowed me to swarm the Flagship with Ions. If you can replace the Pike Beam by a Hallberd Beam, I think it may be a good idea. And if you can fill you last weapon slot with a cheap weapon (I think of a Breach Bomb 1, to create a little chaos, but the basic laser did just fine), you'll have more than enough firepower. I almost get killed by drones in the last stand, though, so I suggest you invest in a Defense Drone M1, and an Anti-Combat Drone. Then you'll be invincible.
