Great to see another batrep, and there sure were some very tense dice rolls in this game! :) Regarding the trays, asoiaf players will most likely flock and paint their trays just like how other people flock and paint their trays in other war games to keep them from looking grey and dull - so don't worry! Most trays that you will see in the future from other players will probably look as cool as the very painted models upon them. ;) What are the sizes of the trays? 14cm wide x 12cm long for infantry and 14cm wide and 12,5cm long for cavalry. Is this correct?

why have such great paint jobs on the minis and nothing on the trays? It's weird..

The more gameplays comes the more minis are painted, they simply might haven't got the time

Actually, I find this method for morale rather refreshing... most medieval battles didn’t end in complete slaughter. Besides, that first morale test had me thinking about Braveheart when all of Wallace’s reinforcements be like “naw we good” and just left.

I think that Lannisters are a bit broken with there action cards....but Starks all the way :)

More and more like what I see from this game! Im still not too fond of all the "take-that" cardplay and morale seems horribly powerful but other then that the game looks to play very nice and smooth! I gotta agree with something I see many comment on though, paint the trays! The models look amazing and are beautifully painted, the trays just ruins all of that :/ Get them up to par with the models and it would look so much better!

Yeah the "take that" card play gives an unpredictable element to the game. Not sure that is good in a strategy wargame. It is their way of dealing with no magic phase.

Debrief I just don't like them on the table. I find they take me out of the game. Also I prefer games that have individual character movement, on a table with 3D terrain.

It's ok. But matte transparent trays should be made by someone.

If you dont like rank&file games that is fine but why are you even here commenting? About how they look, I will agree with you though they look horrible without paint and texture. They really should have done them right as theyve done the models.
