First off, the missions you've completed are checked off and the ones you haven't have an X secondly there is an unstuck option just before you reload you could try that next time.

Unfortunately I don't think there is. This game has some very strange decisions regarding text. Even in VR, it looks all blurry and strange. Still readable, just annoying.
