A few clarifications: 1. If either king dies they lose the game. It's a big victory condition. 2. French besieged could not have moved into keep in one move. They needed to move into the hex firstthen activate that hex to move into the keep which is it's own area in the hex. 3. French charged out of a swamp area which they cannot do. As for deployment English should have put 5 archers in an area together and another 5 archers in an area together each with a pavise 😁

Hi! Siege exp. is absolutely a must buy so much fun! Thanks for the video MG, but here is some advice if I may, the players should be more prepared with all special&units rules and you should improve them if they are not clear enough IMO. Furthemore here are below a couple of questions: 1) About the Musician, I always played it with +1 die IN TOTAL, not per unit. If the intended way is per unit like we saw in this game, it's certainly way too strong..Could you please confirm/infirm it? 2) Now about the Victory conditions, did you change it in the 1.5 version ? Because currently if you kill the opponent's king= win. 3) Why can't we move the French rally point directly into the Calais area? Don't both sides belong to the same army? We actually played once this scenario this way but if it's not possible please clarify it in the scenario ( maybe introducing a second rally point for just the besieged army?) 4) Do you plan to modify the Shield Pavise stats? We found during our games that it was absolutely OP. Pavise Shields + enough units with retaliation skill => merely impossible to get in the area even with a strong charge ( at least this is what we noticed). 5) Finally there are still some inconsistencies between French/English rulebook versions like for some victory conditions. So please fix it within the 1.5 version, thanks! All that being said, this expansion is massively great, all 3d elements and minis are top-notch and the gameplay including the Siege card phase + deployment choices + decisions during the scenario is really fun ! Despite my remarks , I definitely recommend it!!

@Gerry McCabe oh well, then another thing to definitely clarify in the FAQ because in the French version, it's written something like "+1 die to the dice roll of attacking or defending units".. So it's not really clear what does it mean. Furthemore, if it's +1die/ unit, does it also include itself and range attacks? Thanks anyway for your reply!

Thanks for the video. Considering the real size of a trebuchet, it seems quite unrealistic to me that this war machine could be pushed as an attack result...Pushing the crew would be more realistic. May be they could return afterwards to take possession of the machine if not destroyed by the Frenchies ;)

at 30:10 Justin uses the intrigue to activate an area, the area with all of the units, already activated earlier, removing the palisade (it has the grey cube). Is this legal?

The issue of the death star strikes again! This time it's the Musician however. Wow that unit is too powerful! When it came down to it, Justin went for a defence reroll which was the right thing to do with all those dice but it made no sense. Why do Musicians grant a bonus defence from ranged attacks. Shouldn't they inspire units in melee? I don't really like the enormous amount of white dice they add to a roll either. They could still have an interesting effect without adding so many dice to a roll. Maybe 'exploding' kill results when units in the area are defending. Only units with retaliate would benefit from that. A lucky roll with units defending and that have red dice + retaliation become more dangerous. Each kill result counts and would grant an additional roll of the same colour dice (only once). Alternatively the rule could be 'exploding' disrupt results when attacking or defending melee so retaliation units are still powerful in defence but all units could potentially receive a bonus when attacking. Really entertaining watch, especially the fight back Gerry led from inside Calais. I'm not sure what else he could have done to gain enough victory points. Justin's early offensive was really devastating. A couple of other things I think could be improved; - pushing the Trebuchet at 41:48. I feel like crew should be pushed, war machines shouldn't. - units disrupted inside the wall rallied outside with the Kings army at 1:07:20. Is that right? Doesn't make a lot of sense that the disrupted units end up outside the walls. Two rally points, one for each army would be more thematic.

amazing guys great siege!!! very nice game altough i will be house ruling the musician to have a cap of adding max 3 dice or something cuz he pretty busted :p

The « Death Star » tactic could become a flaw of this game, especially with support units like the musician. I think it can easily be fixed, so I hope the MG team will dig in that for the 1.5 release.

white dice arent that valuable. I think it works fine as long as it doesnt get to add a white dice for itself

ClockworkAnomaly I don’t think it does... I always considered individual models to be “characters” while the multi model bases to be “units”... maybe that’s just my interpretation, but I think it’s more balanced

also, during that attack he added 5 dice due to the musician, this seems broken if you add a die for each unit in the space. Shouldn't it be add ONE die per attack/defense not ONE per unit?

This game is absolute torture to set up. I could’ve played another game or two and be finished with them in the time it took to set this battle up. While setting up I discovered there’s not enough red or blue bases. Missing a standard bearer card, would’ve been a musician card as well but got another in the 1.5 upgrade. Eventually! Found the guide and apothecary minis. Had no idea where they were. Love the game when your actually playing but set up is ridiculous.
