I have been binging your videos recently, starting with that one about staying motivated while playing minecraft, and I have found a deep appreciation for them. It feels as if not many people enjoy this game as much as I do anymore, especially since I usually find myself playing alone, but seeing these videos has kind of helped me find the joy in solo minecraft once again. I personally love these sorts of videos, humble beginnings, especially in vanilla minecraft. I have just recently started my own world which I intend to be a forever world, considering how far I’ve come with my building abilities, and the joy I have found in roleplaying in the game, pretending I am a character with a backstory who writes all his feelings and memories out in his journal and all that jazz. But that’s besides the point. I have liked this video so far and I will finish it with an ear-to-ear smile on my face. I hope to see more videos like this, and I’ll make sure to keep up with them if I see that any more have been released. edit: you really drove it home with that point of not being able to find lets plays like this as often as you used to. it is so, so cool to find something like this which is so easy to listen to in the background and just watch, without all the flashiness, as you said. probably a large reason why i’d like so much to see some more of this series.

My take is, if you're using mods, texture packs to get an earlier feel for the game, you're not modded. I feel the same way about specific staple mods I won't go without, like StepUp, or an tree feller.

your videos always feel so cozy rahh >:O i also love the really in depth minecraft args/machinima-esque things that rely more on ambience and the feeling of something being wrong than direct in-your-face stuff! btw sorry if this is obvious but i like using vanilla tweaks to change the poppies back to roses (cause i agree i miss them :< ) it’s not its own mod so it has its own website and download method but it’s pretty easy to set up and you can put a couple other old textures/sounds on their own in too

This is so fun so far! Also I totally relate to not getting things done on day one in Minecraft I spend many early days digging holes to hide in until morning. I've also been inspired to start my own world on hard mode through this - if I'm playing on hard difficulty, I'm playing hardcore, which is a different experience than just hard survival I'm sure due to the complete inability to risk things lmao. I really love the vibes here and also am a big ARG fan - tbh I got into Minecraft again bc of Minecraft ARGs I think they're so fun and creative!! If you do run an ARG I'd recommend putting it on its own channel potentially, as a key aspect of an ARG is the immersion in that alternate reality. Also the term ARG seems to get applied to immersive unfiction stories, which are sometimes also called AREs, at least on the slender verse wiki. ARE standing for alternate reality experience as opposed to alternate reality game, a distinction tied to player involvement! The wide world of unfiction stories is super cool to me and I get very extremely excited about them and as such have so many opinions about them... With knowledge around the Jadusable ARG, Marble Hornets, and EverymanHYBRID I always wind up getting very in my brain about the distinctions between the styles... Also though a lot of ARGs are run by one person! The interactive aspect of the ARG actually lends itself better to a singular creator than a team, as ARGs being impacted by the players is a pretty major feature of them. With the three examples I mentioned, the solely ARG project mentioned was run by one person! Unless you count the arc someone else ran but it has been decanonized for a while now and is more considered a case of gamejacking. But yeah, when it comes to ARGs high production value is not a must, it's just having an interesting core story and an interactive experience! If you have a story you want to tell via ARG and a place where you know people will get involved you don't need the full rigid plan because the story will change with the audience!! Which is the super fun part imo. This turned into an ARG ramble my apologies I think about ARGs 24/7. Mostly the Jadusable ARG - best known for the haunted cartridge arc that is colloquially known as "BEN Drowned" but that is the first and imo least interesting of arcs and lore
