Man, I hated this puzzle as a kid. even with my mom helping me, it took FOREVER to figure out.

I don't get why the furniture in that room have to pretend they're inanimate. Everything in the Land of Darkness is pretty much alive. And what's more, I don't understand why that couch was so rude and wouldn't get off Sam's mask. It doesn't make any sense.

If you look at the color of the Book of Clues' cover then you can see the color of the books needed to open the secret door

I'm playing this on PS4 now. It's a lot of fun. Some of the games shortcuts have been closed off and it is a bit different to find or get ways to find the items.

Align the red chair with the shelf. Then, climb on top o’ red chair and it’s leg will break off. Afterwards, go down to the mines and attain the nail. You’ll require the magnet for that feat to be accomplished. Finally, go back to the lab, hopefully at this point, you’ll already have the hammer from the shack, use the nail to fix up the red chair, and finally, get up on top o’ her and take the blue potion.
