I get that the game is trying to reinforce the idea that "martial arts is about patience and discipline," but like, there's a serious crisis going on right now and the village just seems the same as it always has been. One of the things that always bugs me about games is when the state of the world is seemingly indifferent to the plot. Like, Zelda is battling Ganon, and her father has just asked you to save her, but you'd better go collect bugs and go shield surfing first! Zelda can wait, she's only been constantly fighting for 100 years, waiting for you to come to her aid as her chosen knight and champion. Very much the same thing happening here, but I usually find that if the game is at least fun or telling a good story in-between the main plot I'm willing to ignore it. In this case, I'm just not sure the stuff with Mr. Sun is interesting enough or well-executed enough to make me suspend my disbelief about the current crisis. In the flashback, I appreciate that you could tell which kid was Su from the eyebrows. Intense, even as a child. Shenhua having magical teleportation powers really isn't that weird given she apparently has CBT magic as well.

The worst part about the body check is that its just a cutscene move that is needed to counter the boss cutscene move (which is just him flailing his arms).

I think the dude was gay so he felt violated when Shenhua touched him there.
