This game is truly a classic! Would like to see a remake of this one. Of course we have Ultimate General. But it would be nice if Sid Meier would do a remake on his own game. Truly a epic game, loved it when i was a kid :)

+Arselpang Indeed. Imagine this with somewhat refined game mechanics and more polished graphics. Someone needs to give CA a bit of competition in that field. As much as I love Napoleon Total War, compared to this, NTW is total arcade.

I loved this game growing up. I am from Australia and I never really knew anything about the American Civil War ( I was pretty young). The campaign was really informative and the voice acting was cool, " Mind if I go into town to get some shoes? "None in the world (Southern accent). I really liked how they had an actual riflemans field manual that they gave you in the box with tactical tips and stuff like that. I have Ultimate General but it doesn't feel the same for some reason. They really need to do a Total War Civil War game that would be cool.

Fun game to play but Pickett's charge has little resemblance to the actual attack. The confederates never halted to fire volley after volley-the mechanics of the game play do not allow the game to recreate anything like the actual charge and it ends up being lines of volley fire by both sides.
